TIME:SPACE II : VARIOUS ARTISTS

"A stunning collection of some of the legendary label's more recent output, featuring many of its staple artists as well as newcomers, the amazing thing about this compilation is how timeless it all sounds. >From the gentle sweeps of Rodenbush's "Tranquility" to the more angular and electronic textures of Aril Brikha and Microworld, there is a consistent and common thread here which is that Transmat is one of the few labels that continues being a leader in defining the evolution of electronic music in this new century. Definitely one of my favorite CD's for 2002."

                  Francois K - October 2002

MS31 : THE INDIO EP : written and produced by JOHN BELTRAN

When Detroit was carving its name in techno music, John was among the first to experience the creation of the sound. He started producing in 1991, with his "Aquatic" release on Carl Craig's RetroActive label. Since then, his international acclaim grew, recording on labels such as R & S, Peacefrog and Ubiquity.

1999 saw his collaboration with Sam McQueen and Seth Taylor as Indio, their first release on Transmat. Described as "lush, warm, and heart-wrenchingly deep," John continues to make his indelible mark in the electronic music world by sharing his vision of techno that gently submerges the grit and rage in a watercolor stream of beauty and harmony.

John returns to Transmat with Detroit dancefloor bliss with a special re-edit by Josh Wink.
